Custom educational programs in Seville and across Spain combining language, culture, IB experiences, service learning, and real local immersion.
Not just a school trip. A life-changing experience in Spain.
THE PROBLEM
Why most educational trips in Spain fail to create real impact
Many school trips are rushed, superficial, and built around sightseeing instead of real connection.
- Students visit places.
- They take photos.
- And come back… unchanged.
But they rarely interact with local people, use the language in real situations, or connect what they experience abroad with what they are learning at school.
A meaningful educational trip should do more than show students a destination.
It should help them understand it.
OUR APPROACH
Educational trips in Spain designed around your school
Every school is different. Your program should be too. That’s why every educational trip we design is fully customized — from academic focus and accommodation to daily structure, activities, and level of immersion.
- Some schools are looking for cultural trips with guided visits and structured itineraries.
- Others want full exchange programs with Spanish partner schools.
- Some focus on academic pathways like IB or Career-related programs.
- And others are looking for deep cultural immersion — with host families, language development, and real-life experiences.
No two schools are the same. Neither are our programs.
We design each program from scratch, based on your goals, your students, and the experience you want to create.
WHY SEVILLE ABROAD IS DIFFERENT
A local team in Seville.
Not an intermediary agency.
Most educational travel companies sell educational trips to Spain from abroad.
At Seville Abroad, we are based in Seville and manage each program directly from the destination itself.
But more importantly, we specialize exclusively in programs for teenagers and high school students.
We understand how they learn, how they connect, and how to create experiences that truly impact them.
You work directly with the people who design and run your program.
This means closer relationships, better coordination, faster decisions, and a much more reliable experience for schools.
We know the host families, the partner schools, the activity providers, and the people behind every part of the program.
When your students arrive in Seville, they are welcomed by a team that understands teenagers — because every program we design is built specifically for them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything schools, educators, and program coordinators usually ask before planning an educational trip to Spain.
What are educational trips in Spain?
Educational trips in Spain are customized learning experiences designed for schools and student groups. They combine cultural immersion, language practice, academic activities, and real-world experiences in destinations such as Seville, Madrid, and Granada.
Who are your educational trips designed for?
Our programs are designed primarily for U.S. high schools, IB programs, Spanish language departments, and student groups looking for meaningful educational experiences in Spain.
Can programs be customized for each school?
Yes, absolutely. Every program is designed from scratch based on your school’s goals, students’ age, academic focus, preferred accommodation, and level of cultural immersion.
Do students stay with host families?
Many schools choose host family accommodation because it creates deeper cultural immersion and language practice. However, we also offer residence halls and hotel options depending on the program structure.
Is Seville safe for high school students?
Yes. Seville is considered one of the safest and most manageable cities in Spain for educational travel programs. We also provide continuous local support and coordination throughout the experience.
Do students need to speak Spanish?
No. Students can participate with different language levels. Programs are adapted to beginners, intermediate, and advanced Spanish learners.
Do you offer IB or CAS-related experiences?
Yes. We regularly collaborate with IB schools and can include CAS activities, service learning, cultural workshops, and academic experiences connected to IB goals.
What destinations can be included in the program?
Programs are primarily based in Seville and may also include educational excursions to destinations across Spain such as Granada, Córdoba, Madrid, Cádiz, or Barcelona. We also organize programs in neighboring countries — especially Portugal and Morocco — where we have extensive experience designing meaningful educational and cultural experiences for student groups.
How long are the educational trips?
Programs can range from one-week cultural trips to longer immersion or exchange experiences depending on the school’s objectives.
For European schools, programs are often designed as one-week educational experiences. For schools traveling from the United States, Canada, or Australia programs are typically a minimum of two weeks, allowing students to fully experience Spanish culture, language, and daily life. Some schools also choose to extend their program to three weeks by including additional destinations such as Portugal or Morocco, two countries where we also specialize in educational travel experiences.
How do we start planning a program?
Schools can contact us directly to schedule a call and begin designing their program. We regularly travel across the United States and Canada to visit partner schools, meet educators, and develop programs collaboratively in person.
After the initial conversation, we create a customized proposal based on your students, academic goals, travel dates, and preferred experiences in Spain and beyond.
Do schools need to provide chaperones for the trip?
Yes. Most schools prefer to travel with their own teachers or chaperones, and we work closely with them throughout the entire program.
However, if a school is unable to provide chaperones, Seville Abroad is highly experienced in coordinating group travel directly from the United States. Our team travels to the U.S. several times each year to visit partner schools and students, and we are accustomed to meeting groups at their departure airport and accompanying them throughout the journey to Spain when needed.
While having school chaperones is always ideal, schools can also rely on Seville Abroad to coordinate arrivals, airport assistance, and group supervision as part of the program structure.
Many of our long-term school partnerships have been built through these close relationships, personal visits, and direct collaboration with educators across the United States.
